Michail launched Halley Forensics in 2025. He is a Chartered civil and structural engineer with nearly two decades of experience in the design, construction and forensic investigation of building and infrastructure works in the UK and internationally.

Michail has led the structural design of award-winning buildings in the UK while at a leading London consultancy, and his experience also extends to civil infrastructure, including highway bridges and power plant facilities in Greece and the Middle East. He has also contributed to the development of finite element analysis software in Germany and conducted academic research informing European codes of practice (Eurocodes), which was awarded by the International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE) and the International Federation for Structural Concrete (fib).

Before Halley Forensics, Michail worked with William J Marshall & Partners and Rimkus, advising leading firms of solicitors, insurers, developers and contractors on the technical aspects of high-profile construction disputes across the UK and around the globe, and has assisted parties in navigating complex disputes resolved in international arbitrations and adjudication proceedings.

Alongside his forensic and advisory work, Michail continues to undertake structural design commissions in collaboration with leading engineering firms.
